LATICRETE has partnered with Sager Mosaics and The Ruins Project to help artists around the world tell the story of American coal history through the amazing mosaic artwork created for the project. In The Ruins Project, 254 Platinum has been used for the Train, E pluribus unum, Anonymous Miner, Woodpecker and England, East Meets West.
Premium one-step, polymer fortified, thin-set mortar that provides unsurpassed strength and versatility. Ideal for interior, exterior thin porcelain tile panels, stone, quarry tile, pavers and brick. It can be used in submerged applications on virtually all substrates and applications.
In The Ruins Project, 257 Titanium mortar was used in The Great Train, the largest mosaic so far (67' long by 7' high). It was installed "in situ" (one single piece of glass at a time).
An ultimate lightweight, one-step, polymer fortified, thin-set mortar that is ideal for the installation of Gauged Porcelain Tile Panels/Slabs (GPTP) as well as for interior and exterior installation of ceramic tile, porcelain tile, stone, quarry tile, pavers and brick.
Other LATICRETE® products used are:
- TRI-LITE™ (gray): a lightweight, high performance tri-purpose mortar designed for large and heavy tile, thin-bed and wall installations.
- LHT™ (gray): polymer modified large and heavy tile mortar specifically formulated to provide a one-step installation for large format ceramic tile, porcelain tile, marble and stone on floors.
- LATAPOXY® 310 Stone Adhesive: two component, high strength epoxy adhesive, which is formulated for the spot bonding method of tile and stone installations on vertical surfaces.
- STONETECH® Heavy Duty Exterior Sealer: a solvent based sealer designed for exterior surfaces offers advanced stain protection and weather resistance on natural stone, masonry and grout.
